Safe Scene Cleaning Limited ("we", "us", "our") is a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16152237, with its registered office at Westgate House, Hale, Altrincham. We are the "data controller" for personal information collected via this website and in the course of quoting for and delivering our cleaning services.

2. What information we collect
We only collect information you give us or that is generated by ordinary use of our website.
- Enquiry information, name, email address, phone number, postcode, the service you're interested in, and anything you tell us in the message field of our contact form.
- Client & job information, site address, access details, agreed cleaning specification, invoices and payment records for the purpose of delivering and billing the service.
- Correspondence, emails, texts, WhatsApp messages and phone-call notes exchanged with you before, during and after we work with you.
- Website technical data, standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) generated when you use our website.
We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.
3. Why we use it (our lawful basis)
- To respond to your enquiry and prepare a quote, legal basis: your consent when you send the form, and our legitimate interest in running our business.
- To provide the cleaning service you've contracted us for, legal basis: performance of a contract.
- To send invoices and take payment, legal basis: performance of a contract and compliance with tax law.
- To keep our own records, legal basis: legitimate interest in maintaining accurate business records and legal obligations (e.g. HMRC record retention).
- To keep our website secure and working, legal basis: legitimate interest.
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.
4. Who we share it with
We share your information only with parties who need it to run our business:
- Our accountant and bookkeeper, for invoicing and tax filings.
- Our email, hosting and payment providers, who store data on our behalf under written contracts.
- Regulators, law enforcement or professional advisers where we're legally required to disclose information.
We do not share your information with third parties for marketing.
5. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don't become clients, up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Client contracts, invoices and correspondence, 6 years from the end of the contract, to meet HMRC record-keeping requirements.
- Website server logs, typically 30–90 days on our hosting provider.
6. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct information you believe is inaccurate.
- Ask us to delete your information where we no longer have a lawful basis to keep it.
- Object to us processing your information for our legitimate interests.
- Withdraw consent for anything you originally gave consent for.
- Complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
